1. Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that participation in weightlifting, bodybuilding, cardio, and related activities at Iron Lifting Club ("ILC") involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: muscle strains, sprains, falls, equipment malfunctions, heart attack, stroke, and other injuries or medical emergencies.
I voluntarily assume all risks of injury, illness, accident, or death, whether foreseeable or not, associated with my use of ILC facilities and participation in ILC-sponsored events.

2. 24-Hour Facility Access (Unsupervised Training)
I understand and agree that:
• Iron Lifting Club is a 24-hour access facility. Staff may not be present at all times.
• When using the gym during unstaffed hours, I am solely responsible for my safety.
• Risks include, but are not limited to: delayed emergency response, lack of immediate medical care, absence of spotting assistance, and increased danger from exercising alone.
• Emergency equipment (AED, phone access) may be available, but I am responsible for knowing its location and how to use it.
I accept full responsibility for these risks and release ILC from any liability related to my use of the facility during unstaffed hours.

3. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, I release and discharge Iron Lifting Club, its owners, staff, contractors, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising from or related to my participation in activities at the facility, including ordinary negligence.
This release does not waive liability for gross negligence, reckless conduct, or intentional acts, which cannot legally be waived in California.

4. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless ILC from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorney's fees) brought by third parties arising from my actions, conduct, or use of the facility.

5. Health & Medical
• I affirm that I am physically fit and capable of engaging in strenuous exercise.
• I have consulted with a physician if necessary.
• ILC is not responsible for providing medical care.
• In the event of an emergency, I authorize ILC staff or representatives to obtain emergency medical treatment on my behalf and accept responsibility for any costs incurred.

6. Facility Rules
I agree to abide by all posted rules, including:
• Proper use of equipment.
• Re-racking weights and wiping equipment.
• No harassment, disorderly conduct, or unsafe lifting practices.
• No sharing of key fobs or granting access to unauthorized individuals.
I understand that violation of rules may result in suspension or termination of membership without refund.

7. Personal Property
I acknowledge that ILC is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

8. Minors
If the participant is under 18 years of age:
• A parent or legal guardian must sign this waiver.
• The guardian assumes full responsibility for the minor's participation and agrees to all provisions of this Agreement.

9. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in El Dorado County, CA.

Acceptance of Terms
By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to this Liability Waiver. I understand that I am giving up certain legal rights, including the right to sue for ordinary negligence.
